Full MEP Design

Proton Built Environment was hired by Thackeray Estates to provide full MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design services for a new mixed use development located at 89-93 Putney High Street, Putney, London. The development comprised of 15 high-end residential apartments and 1000sqm of retail space over five levels. The project had a value of £7,000,000 and covered an area of 2,500 sqm/26,900 sqft. The duration of the project was 18 months.

THACKERAY ESTATES MIXED USED DEVELOPMENT IN PUTNEY, LONDON

Client and Contractor:

Thackeray Estates was the client for this project, while ARJ Construction was the main contractor responsible for the construction work.

Services Provided:

Proton Built Environment provided full design services for mechanical, electrical, domestic, and above ground public health services. This included the design of mechanical ventilation, comfort cooling, audio and visual, security, and photovoltaic installation.

Challenges:

The site presented challenges in terms of compactness and minimal floor-to-ceiling heights, which required close coordination with the client, architect, and main contractor to develop a cost-effective solution while meeting the requirements of a high-end residential development.

Outcome:

Proton Built Environment successfully completed the full MEP design for the Thackeray Estates mixed use development in Putney, London. The design incorporated mechanical ventilation, comfort cooling, audio and visual, security, and photovoltaic installation to meet the client's requirements. Despite the challenges posed by the site, Proton Built Environment worked closely with the project stakeholders to deliver a cost-effective solution that met the client's brief for a high-end residential development.
